Uday Chopra is a Bollywood actor and producer. In the past he has also been an assistant director.
Biography
Chopra is an Indian actor of Bollywood film. He is the son of Yash Chopra and brother of Aditya Chopra. He has been assistant director on a number of his father’s and brother’s movies under the Yash Raj Films banner.
He made his debut in the Yash Raj Films movie Mohabbatein. This film starred Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, and three other debutantes (Shamita Shetty, Preeti Jhangiani and Kim Sharma). There were two other male actors in Jimmy Shergill(debut movie “Maachis”) and Jugal Hansraj(debut movie as an adult was “Aa Gale Lag Jaa”) whose careers were relaunched with Mohabbatein. The film did well at the box office.
Uday has mostly done films under his father’s production house. He starred in 2004 in the action thriller Dhoom and starred in its sequel Dhoom 2, released in 2006. Together with his brother Aditya Chopra, Uday helps to run Yash Raj Production.

Before making his debut in Mohabbatein in 2000, Uday produced Yeh Dillagi (1994) starring Akshay Kumar, Kajol and Saif Ali Khan.
Recently it was reported that Uday Chopra will go into directing films like his father and brother. However, there has been no official confirmation of this.
Personal life
he dated actress Tanisha Mukherjee , whom he had met in the sets of Neal N Nikki, but they broke up in 2007.
